He was based at the US Headquarters of Intelligence under General Maxwell Taylor. He had a high level of security clearance working in cryptology. This photo was taken during that time when Dad was given permission to drive a staff car belonging to General Maxwell Taylor forty miles south of Tokyo to Atsugi where his brother, Joe was serving in the United Sates Marine Corp.
