Memories?

Alzheimer's disease is a terrible thing. It robs you of people you have loved for many years. It comes silently to rob, bit by bit it steals the riches of life, memories, from the essence of life, your soul. What is the most horrendous part of the theft is that you don't realize that a robbery has taken place.

On Friday our family met with a lawyer. He said, we have to diminish your family's assets. It made me think, isn't that really what is going on with this disease now any way? Isn't the disease diminishing all the earthly assets we have? The most precious thing we accumulate over life, our memories?

My emotions are too numb to deal with this, I haven't been able to process any of this. I live from day to day not being able to absorb any of this. This is another reason I am questioning God. What are you doing?

Mat 7:8 Everyone who asks will receive. Everyone who searches will find. And the door will be opened for everyone who knocks.
Mat 7:9 Would any of you give your hungry child a stone, if the child asked for some bread?
Mat 7:10 Would you give your child a snake if the child asked for a fish?
Mat 7:11 As bad as you are, you still know how to give good gifts to your children. But your heavenly Father is even more ready to give good things to people who ask.

When I pray. I pray for confidence because, I trust in the Lord with all my heart and not my own understanding. I acknowledge Him as Savior, King and Messiah with my whole heart. I trust completely in whatever God deals out knowing that what I receive is directly from Him.

I will pray for and with confidence. I have confidence in the good gifts of my Heavenly Father.

I will pray today and you pray also that God will lavish good gifts on those whose confidence is shaken, as they have gifts designed for them alone also..

If you truly believe we have Good and Loving Heavenly Father then think about this:
We must believe God is good. To doubt God’s goodness means we are convinced God wants to rob you of some good thing rather than to bless us and enrich us. If I doubt God’s goodness I am convinced that some worthwhile pleasure will pass me by or He will be giving out some horrible difficulty that either I cannot handle (God’s Word says is not possible) or is horribly hurtful that we are sure that it is punishment. (Rom 8:35 Can anything separate us from the love of Christ? Can trouble, suffering, and hard times, or hunger and nakedness, or danger and death?)

Look for the giving and loving hand of Your Heavenly father to give you the good gifts that are designed for you.

Don’t be surprised because they are coming. After all we have asked.

Habakkuk 3:17-19 From the internment service yesterday...
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The sovereign Lord is my strength: he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to go on to the heights. (For the director of music. On my stringed instruments.)

He enables me to go on!!

What will we be like when this is over?

I will be joyful in God my Savior.
